What: 2017 Native Plant Sale

Have you always wanted to know what that plant is that appears in your garden, flower bed, or landscape? Is it a flower or weed? Invasive or native? Medicinal, edible or toxic? Here’s your opportunity find out. On Friday, June 2nd, from 4pm to 6pm, local experts, experienced in plant identification, will be at the Reed City Depot to identify those annoying or mystery plants that you’ve been wondering about. So don’t pull them. Let them grow to make plant identification easier. Then bring them to the Reed City Depot on June 2nd, between 4pm and 6pm, to have our local experts assist in identification. If the mystery can’t be solved on-the-spot, and further research is needed, they will gladly get back to you with an answer. Photos are an option.
Our plant experts include: a botanist with the US Forest Service, coordinator of the North Country Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA), retired FSU botany professor, and Master Gardener/Master Naturalist. Don’t miss this opportunity!
We will also be having our annual native plant sale. See plant order form below. Extra plants will be available but in a very limited quantity. Deadline for ordering is May 15, 2017.
